Candidate I
“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader.”
This quote from John Quincy Adams has truly represented my view as an inspirational leader. Since I was in middle school, I have always been moved by many people and their success in leading a team. My study in Bachelor of Business at Victoria University allows me to understand a lot of elements in developing my leadership skills. Not only motivating people, but also providing empathy, listening to others, providing effective solutions, and effectively communicating my vision to the team.
I have been actively engaged in leadership programs, workshops, and initiatives that align with the university’s goals. My key achievements include completing the
LEAD program, serving as a team leader for V4U day, and facilitating LEAD workshops. Outside of university, I have also served as a leader in a non-profit organisation to help students increase their employability. These experiences have honed my leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, enabling me to contribute to transforming Victoria University into a thriving place to study and work.
Inspired by well-spoken colleagues and past LEAD facilitators, I hope to observe and learn from other LEAD facilitators and participants in becoming an inspiring leader. A leader who can motivate others to do their best. By becoming a LEAD facilitator, I could make a positive impact on other students in their LEAD journey, be a role model, and get others to do the greatest things in the community. I am dedicated to inspiring growth and innovation for all students at Victoria University.
