I have worked as a teacher at Cary Reynolds since 2013. I am familiar with and supportive of the school's culture and programs. I served on past BLT and PTA boards, and have also led an after school club, and coordinated the school garden, and Campus Beautification events.

I have been an educator for over two decades. During my tenure, I served in various capacities such as a reading as well as ESOL teacher.
My goal in helping children reach their highest potential, prompted me to volunteer at an Atlanta orphanage. The fact that the children were able to learn new skills and grow in confidence made this experience a very rewarding one for me.

I am currently teaching in fourth grade, and this is my ninth year serving students and families at Kingsley Elementary. In 2020, I completed the Master's Degree in Instructional Technology at Kennesaw State University (KSU). This Fall, I started the Tier I Leadership Program at KSU. I serve as a chair level representative, participate in the PTO committee, the Kingsley Leadership Team, and My Sister's Keeper Club. I wish to make a meaningful impact at Kingsley! For the past 14 years, I have dedicated my professional life to serving the students and stakeholders of the Lakeside community. In those 14 years, I taught social studies and worked in auxiliary positions to serve the needs of the entirety of Lakeside's population--students with disabilities, gifted students, English learners, and all students in between.
While supporting the Lakeside community, I sought out leadership roles and training within the school and the district, resulting the conferral of my Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership. It would be an honor to continue serving this community through the PAC.

This is my 8th year at Lakeside. I have come to love this community and school. I just want to help to make it a better place. I have done a lot of administrative and committee work in my life and would bring that to the position. In the past I've served as department chair, served on many hiring committees, and sponsored several student clubs. I'm open-minded and love to brainstorm with people. I would pull my weight on the committee and always be honest and kind.

This year is my 26th year teaching at Lakeside. We have gotten new parts of the building, swapped some notebooks for chromebooks, and changed learning platforms or grade books more than I can remember, but one thing hasn’t changed: students want to learn and parents send their children to our school so that learning can happen. I have served as a volunteer in the United States Army for 32 years. During this tenure, I have been an advisor to both 1-Star and 2-Star Generals in the capacity of teaching, training and developing Soldiers. I have sense been involved with the Feed the Hungry Campaign at my local church. I am currently a member of the school PBIS program and am a champion for the JROTC model of helping our students to become better citizens via character building.

My career started at Rockbridge 13 years ago as a MID teacher. After four years I served as a lead teacher, managed Rockbridge’s website, and became department chair. I have a B.S. in Early Childhood Education, M.Ed. in Reading, and Ed.S. in Teacher Leadership. Next fall I will participate in the SLDS Ambassador cohort. Furthermore, I am an active member in my community and have volunteered as treasurer of my HOA for almost 3 years. As a member of the Principal Advisory Council, I will develop PLCs to address priority areas identified in our CSIP plan.

I have been an educator for 33 years and truly enjoy my job. I have taught grades 1at through 6th. I have volunteered at my son’s school, reading to students and serving as room parent. I not only work within the school but volunteer at my church. I wish to serve on the PAC to bring a new perspective and also be in the know of things to come.

I have taught elementary, middle and college students over the years. I wish to serve on the Principal Advisory Council ,so that I can bridge the gap and create greater success in schools..
I volunteered with various organizations including Hands on Atlanta, where I worked with parents, businesses and coomunity members, to bring about change that impacted students and families. One years, I organized a garden club in my school which included parents and members of the business community. Parent volunteers worked to cut down trees and overgrown brush, and helped create a beautiful garden that students maintained.

I started teaching in Montgomery, Alabama in 1996. I moved to Georgia in 2003 and I have been teaching fifth grade since I have been here. It would be my pleasure to serve on the PAC because I love my school, students, and the community that we serve.

I have been a music teacher for over 20 years and Have taught in the Dekalb County School District for thirteen years. For a year and half I served my community as a contact tracer during the height of the Covid 19 pandemic. In any work place it is important that everyone feel that their voice is heard. The leadership at Flat Shoals does a fantastic job at doing just that and I would like to be apart of it.

Good Afternoon,
My name is Mr. Dixon and I am an English Teacher at Lithonia High school and this is my first official year of teaching but I have been a Bulldog for six years. During my time I have been instrumental in helping the halls of Lithonia be the best it could be. I try to serve in any capacity that I can. I sponsor and run the LHS male mentoring organization called Men of Distinction and help co-sponsor homecoming, prom, Junior class, senior class and etc. I would love to serve on the council because I LOVE DEKALB.

I am a product of the Dekalb County School System and I know what it can do when everyone has the same goal, which is educating the kids. I have volunteered over 100 hours through my church offering tutoring services. I wish to serve this committee because I believe that I can help with getting parents involved more. I also think that having a younger person on the council can bring new-insight and fresh ideas.

I am currently a math teacher at Lithonia Middle School, and have worked in education for 8 years. Prior to entering a career in teaching, I worked as an Infectious Disease Researcher/Community Health Educator abroad. In addition to teaching, I serve as a Girl Scout and Boy Scout volunteer, work with the AFB initiatives servicing South DeKalb, and in various capacities to support youth and families in the Lithonia area. I am committed to my community and have a deep belief in the power of its culture and sense of community to evolve into the best school possible.

Angela Gomez-Hidalgo
I am a teacher originally from Venezuela, where I earned my bachelors degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. There, I had the opportunity to work in both the public and private system in all grades. That experience made me realize that I love and feel at home in the lower elementary level. I have worked as a volunteer with Hosea Williams during the Thanksgiving meal preparation for the homeless, a very rewarding experience.
I would love to serve in PAC to bridge the gap between staff stakeholders and community stakeholders, and serve my school.

I have over 10 years of service through the Gwinnett Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Through this service organization I have helped organize and led service projects that include breast cancer awareness, HBCU adopt a road to keep our communities clean, and positive mentorships for girls in middle and high school. Dedicated, determined, and dependable are words I would use to describe myself. I an going into my 10th year of education where I have served as grade chair, sunshine committee chair, and Science school leader. Outside of school I have voulunteered with habitat for humanity, children's health care of atlanta, and tutor for children in my community. I wish to serve on the council because I believe in my school and the things we are working on. I want to be a direct connection for classroom teachers, I want to see my school move and exceed all expectations.

I am a special education teacher who have been in education for over 7 years in different roles. Working in education and as a probation officer afforded me the opportunity to work with both parents and scholars in the community. I am also a mentor, coach, and volunteer feeding the hungry.

I voulnteer time to organizations that advocate for children. I served two years as a Girl Scout Leader in a local troop. I served as an area Cookie Representative for a collection of troops. I served as President of PTA at DeKalb Elementary School of the Arts for 4 years. I served as Parlimentarian for 2 years, and Vice President before I was elected to the office of President.
I wish to serve on the Principal Advisory Council to hear the concerns of parents, share those concerns with fellow teachers, and then craft a solution as how to move forward.
