Reasons for Nominating
I understand the responsibility and qualities required to be a Director and appreciate the consideration for the position. As a female business owner, I believe I can offer a different outlook and approach to strategy, negotiation, governance and conflict resolution. I am eager to use these skills to benefit the industry that I am passionate about, not only to deliver outcomes, but also to give back to other Members and the community.

Other Information
I have always been a quiet achiever, but I believe that everyone has a voice. While 2020 was extremely challenging as a small business owner, it was also an opportunity for growth and to focus on what you can control and what lies ahead. I would like to use my skills and experience to work with the REIV to continue to make a difference.

I am a second generation real estate agent and our family has always valued the REIV and the advantages that it brings. I am keen to help the Institute stay relevant and support the industry and its membership by ensuring that we provide advocacy as an industry, provide required services to Members and make sure that we are the number one real estate training provider.

Other Information
In recent times we have seen our industry suffer from government decisions that tax our sector unfairly, impose onerous legislation and regulation on ourselves and investors. We must rally against this and ensure that our industry has services that are needed and training for the future.

I am renominating so as to complete my final three year term. I believe that I add and will continue to add significant value to the REIV Board, especially given my understanding of Finance, Governance and Strategy developed throughout my 30+ years of business experience.

Other Information
The REIV Board has achieved so much since 2015 – the start of my first term of office – including recruitment of the current CEO and our focus on improving our Member engagement and our value proposition for Members. As a Board member, I have actively supported a number of important initiatives that I am very keen to see through to completion. These include the reinvigoration of the PDOL business, our Choose a Member strategy, the raising of the professional standards of our Members and the Real Estate profession as a whole. I am seeking REIV Members’ endorsement to continue the strategies that I have helped to establish.
