Felicia Curtis

Poll Group: 2020 Dunaire Elementary Teacher Representative Election - RUNOFF

Poll: Teacher Representative
Latonya Razzaq

I'm Latonya Razzaq, a fairly new teacher leader with 6 years under my belt. However, I'm a third-year teacher at Dunaire Elementary. While teaching Pre-k my first three years and transitioning into 2nd grade, I've learned that I have a vision and a strong passion to serve, teach, inspire, and impact others. I've been given a gift and talent that I cannot understand nor control. This isn't a job for me; I'm living in my purpose. As a leader, I have to extend my vision outside of the classroom and pour into our communities. I have a growth mindset.
Chelsea Laurice Cook

I have been the music teacher at Dunaire for the past 9 years, and I have been able to create a sustainable program there at the school. I believe my experience with the community will bring a wealth of knowledge to the table, and I am excited to be a part.

I am going into my 34th year of teaching, my 21st year in DeKalb County, and my 18th year at Dunwoody High School. Dunwoody High School is my professional home, and I have been a Dunwoody resident since 2003. I am quite invested in the community and the welfare of our students. Having taught German, French, ESOL and English Literature and Composition, I bring a fair amount of experience to the table and perhaps some unique viewpoints. That said, I also want to learn about other people's viewpoints and advocate for all of our students and stakeholders.
Mike Nash

I have worked as a teacher and coach at DHS for 5 years. I have witnessed the growth and change in our high school and would like to be a part of making sure that DHS remains a quality school. I am a member of our Dunwoody community and have a vested interest in making sure that this remains a community school with the highest of standards. I feel that I would be a valuable liaison between the school and the community.
