While I do not have much experience in volunteering, I do work for a non-profit organization and understand the value and importance of volunteering. I wish to serve on the Principal Advisory Council for the sole purpose of providing help. So many times parents sit around and complain about what’s going on with our kids’ schools, but we’re not helping the situation. I would like to be a part of the solution and not the problem. I believe I would be a great asset to the council by bringing a fresh perspective to the table, especially during these unprecedented times.
Shanike Lewis

Our youth are the future, and we have to better the educational system in DeKalb County. Having lived in several places in the world (Asia & Europe), I believe I have refreshing ideas when it comes to education. Also coming from a family where both my parents were involved (as principal daughter) in the educational system, I would like to share my knowledge and make learning easier and more fun! I have done motivational speaking for children in China and have volunteered on several occasions in schools my daughter attended. Please consider me as a potential candidate.
Felicia Curtis

Parental involvement is an integral component of the educational success of students. My hope for all Wynbrooke children, not just my own, is for them to develop a passion for school and learning. Creating an environment where students feel safe not only physically, but also intellectually, is an essential factor in ensuring they reach their maximum potential. By placing me on the Principal Advisory Council (PAC), I can help to ensure that all students are fairly represented when decisions affecting them are being considered.

Latonya Razzaq

I'm Latonya Razzaq, a fairly new teacher leader with 6 years under my belt. However, I'm a third-year teacher at Dunaire Elementary. While teaching Pre-k my first three years and transitioning into 2nd grade, I've learned that I have a vision and a strong passion to serve, teach, inspire, and impact others. I've been given a gift and talent that I cannot understand nor control. This isn't a job for me; I'm living in my purpose. As a leader, I have to extend my vision outside of the classroom and pour into our communities. I have a growth mindset.
Chelsea Laurice Cook

I have been the music teacher at Dunaire for the past 9 years, and I have been able to create a sustainable program there at the school. I believe my experience with the community will bring a wealth of knowledge to the table, and I am excited to be a part.
